This project involved the renovation of an existing kitchen and adjoining living and dining spaces within a family home in St Andrews, with a strong focus on improving flow, functionality and warmth throughout the heart of the home.

Working collaboratively with the client, who loved heritage textures paired with modern function – we reimagined the layout to create a more open, connected space centred around a new larger kitchen island for cooking, gathering and everyday family life. Spatial planning was key, ensuring the kitchen, dining and living areas felt seamless and intuitive to move between.

Decorative beams and brick slip detailing were introduced to add character and architectural interest, layering in a sense of history and texture, while colour, pattern and tactile finishes brought personality and charm. The result balances rustic warmth with contemporary practicality, creating a space that feels both timeless and joyfully liveable.

The finished design is relaxed, welcoming and full of character. A true hub of the home designed for cooking, hosting and family moments alike.
